托福口语突破--Task1解题技巧 & 高分模板

口语的题叫个人经历题，托福官方称之为个人倾向题 (personal preference)。该题要求考生描述熟悉的人物、地点、物品或事件。例如，对考生有影响的人、考生想参观的地方、有特殊意义的物品或考生感觉愉快的活动。考生的任务是：

1. 描述经验 (describe experiences)

2. 阐述理由(give reasons to explain the choice)

例如描述一重大事件，然后阐述该事件之所以重大的理由。准备时间是15秒，正式回答时间是45秒。

准备阶段

在短短15秒的准备时间内，为了确保回答准确完整，必须完成下列任务：

1. 分析问题

2. 确定答案（确定描述哪个人、哪件事或哪个物品）

3. 准备提纲

准备阶段最重要的是拟提纲，即写一些要点和关键词，以便正式回答时参考。包括：

1. 要描述的对象

2. 简要介绍要描述的对象

3. 2~3条理由或细节

例如：

Talk about a book you have read that was important to you for some reason. Explain why the book was important to you. Give specific details and examples to explain you answer.

提纲：

Pride and Prejudice (Austen)

Details of social life---common family & noble society

Characters---typical & with weakness

正式回答

首先是模板的使用。可以将提纲的内容填入熟悉的模板，做到以不变应万变。

其次是过渡词的使用。过渡词的使用能使评分老师迅速把握答案的逻辑层次与关系，也是评分的重要标准之一。

然后是适当的停顿。如果一时卡了壳儿，不能保持沉默，长时间沉默是要扣分的。可以使用英语中常见的表示停顿的词填充间隔，如：Okay, Now, Um, And, or Uh.

最后是时间的把握。题的答案应该在125-150词左右，即8-10句话。

为了使答案达到效果，应该注意下列事项：

1. 句话就交代描述对象或论点（不要拐弯抹角，因为时间不多）；

2. 尽可能参考自己现场准备的提纲（临时想论点容易导致逻辑混乱）；

3. 直接对麦克风进行清楚的表达（一开始就调好麦克风的位置与音量）

4. 语速适中，不要太快或太慢（要表达清楚，不要求快---快不是流利的标志）；

5. 注意发音和语调（不要过于担心自己的口音，但要口齿清楚）；

6. 使用熟悉的词汇与结构（过于复杂的词汇与结构对考生与评分老师都是挑战）。

在描述对象时，task1常常需要使用最。

2. 理由与例子

阐述论点时需要以理由或句子进行说明，所以必须掌握关于阐述理由或举例子的表达方式。涉及理由的词汇主要是reason, because 与why；涉及举例的词组主要是for example, for  instance 或 such as，这些词与词组虽然简单，但在口语中已经够用了。

3. 总结

如果有时间，可以在回答的最后加一句总结性的话。常用的表达包括：for these reasons, therefore, in summary, in conclusion, to conclude, all in all 等。

例如：

A. For these reasons, I find Harry Potter very interesting.

B. All in all, I prefer living on campus to off campus.

高分模板

Task1的模板可以包含下列几个方面：

1. 主题句（topic sentence）

2. 2~3个论据（supporting details）

3. 过渡词（transitional words: because, also, finally;  first, second, finally, for example）

task1的模板不可以过于复杂。使用下列最简模板（TST模板：T=topic sentence; S=supporting details; T=transitional words）就可以。
