一、False选项主要有以下四种情况：

1.题目与原文事实或者数据不一致；

2.直接相反（可能会用反义词/否定）；

3.题目过于/把原文中限定条件删除；

例子：

题干：The Hanshin earthquake of 1995 destroyed the pagoda at the Toji temple.

原文：The disastrous Hanshin earthquake in 1995 killed 6,400 people, toppled elevated highways, flattened office blocks and devastated the port area of Kobe. Yet it left the magnificent five-storey pagoda at the Toji temple in nearby Kyoto unscathed, though it levelled a number of buildings in the neighbourhood.

不难找到题目中的定位词：1995，Toji temple，destroyed。因为题目是宝塔被摧毁了，但是原文unscathed的意思是“未受损坏的”，如果不知道unscathed的意思，也可通过前面的left判断，所以答案是FALSE。

二、Not Given选项主要有以下四种情况：

1.题目中的某些内容在原文中没有提及；

2.题目中涉及的内容或者限定更加具体；

3.原文只是看法，题目变成了事实；

4.无端比较。

例题：

题目：It was found that most visitors started searching on the website by geographical location.

原文：On the website, visitors can search for activities not solely by geographical location, but also by the particular nature of the activity.

这一段话比较好理解，原文只出现了by geographical location，而题干增加了原文没有涉及的by the particular nature，因此是Not Given。
